The Boardman River

The life blood, the main artery, the miracle of a watershed, so life giving and necessary, the Boardman River is the jugular, stretching and pulsating 130 miles to the South and East and eventually draining approximately 186,000 acres of mostly unspoiled wilderness through downtown Traverse City to our location on the Clinch Park Beach.  Paddling this intricate system of branches and brambles can be cumbersome, but this wise old river with Blue Ribbon Status has been an amazing recreational resource for many generations of folks that are in the know.  Below the Sabin Dam the River is very peaceful and forgiving even to the least experienced paddler.  Above, there are challenges for the most experienced.  The Boardman River is precious and much deserving of a float on a kayak, canoe, paddleboard or tube.  Give us a call or stop down at our livery at Clinch Park or Logans Landing on the South shore of Boardman Lake.  Get out on the Boardman and make some memories!
